SUBJECT: Appointment to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint Randy Carpenter to the Impact Fee
Advisory Committee.
BACKGROUND: Four terms on this committee are currently vacant. These positions include a
certified public accountant, a citizen of Bozeman not employed in the development industry, a land developer and a builder. One new applicant has applied and qualifies for the position of a
citizen not employed in the development industry. He has also served in this position in the past.
The Impact Fee Advisory Committee, established under 7-6-1604, MCA, shall consist of nine
members to be appointed by the City Commission. The members shall be the City Engineer;
the City Finance Director;
a certified public accountant who shall hold no other public office or employment;
1 builder;
1 land developer; 2 citizens of Bozeman not employed in the development industry; and
2 other members as selected by the City Commission.
A majority of members must be residents of the City of Bozeman. Appointments are made for
two years. The Committee will act in an advisory capacity to the City Commission.
This board currently has four ongoing vacancies and one applicant. Applicant:
