Hi all commissioners,
I first want to thank you for what you do on the commission. On a normal week by week basis, it
must be a lot of responsibility. And in this case, I realize the NDO draft idea has added additional
aspects to that.
I would desire to voice a personal appeal to you that we do Not need an NDO. My wife and I own a
business in Bozeman and have for 28 years. We don’t treat people differently because of their
sexual orientation or view, either now or after an ordinance such as this. Rather, we would be
respectful, knowing in this country people have a choice. I realize everyone has “a right to have
their own view”.
Having said that, as a Christian I would and should desire all men and women to come to know truth
and have a relationship with Christ. However, I would not feel the right to force everyone to go to
my church to hear biblical truth. That seems to be outside the sphere of influence and move into
the sphere of authority which I don’t have over other people. May I kindly appeal to not pass this
ordinance in this community. Thanks for your work and for hearing me.
