Dear Mayor and City Commissioners,
We wish to register our full support for passage of a Non-Discrimination Ordinance for the City of Bozeman.
Based upon recent public dialog, we feel that an NDO at this time is an important re-affirmation of what we believe is a core value in our community: that we all are entitled protections from hatred, persecution and discrimination – in this case as it relates to sexual preference and gender identity.
These protections represent both a moral imperative and a cornerstone of a civil and just society.
We commend Deputy Mayor Taylor’s leadership on this issue, and urge the passage of a strong, unequivocal NDO.
