Dear Commissioners,
I am writing in support of the proposed non-discrimination ordinance. As a formerMissoula City Councilwoman, I believe there is no more important duty for an electedofficial than to ensure the basic human rights and dignity of our constituents. Thisincludes the right to be treated fairly where one lives and works, regardless ofsexual orientation or gender identity. Simply having a non-discrimination ordinancein Bozeman sends a message that you are a welcoming, caring city where all citizenshave equal opportunity to thrive. Bozeman can join other Montana cities on theright side of history, and lead the way on civil rights. I would urge a yes vote onthis ordinance.
