Dear Commissioners,
I appreciate this opportunity to present you with an overview of a shovel readystormwater treatment project. A fair amount of research and In-Kind donation ofservices from local businesses has enabled us to design a technical yet affordablestormwater treatment system. This system is proposed for an outfall that is locatedat the upper south end of the Citys corporate boundary. Our understanding is that we should correct impairments at thesouth end of the watershed working our way downstream to the north. ACommunity Park is proposed to accompany the stormwater treatment system. ThePark will accommodate a detention pond and discharge channel. Educational kioskswill be installed to help illustrate the importance of stormwater treatment and howthe system operates. If successful as a pilot project this treatment process could bereplicated in other stream side neighborhoods.Visitors will gain a betterunderstanding of what a great community asset Bozeman Creek is and how all of uscan become more engaged in better management of this asset for the benefit offuture generations.
