SUBJECT: Professional Service Term Contracts for Development Review Services.
MEETING DATE: April 21, 2014

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to execute Professional Service Term
Contracts for Development Review Services.
BACKGROUND: In March 2014 the City of Bozeman published a Request for Proposals
(RFP) for development review services. These services include review of site plans,
subdivisions, and other various private development applications received by the Department of
Community Development. The recent surge in applications for development within Bozeman
has forced the Department of Community Development to seek additional resources in order to provide timely review.
Staff has reviewed the submitted RFP’s, and selected the following firms: Allied Engineering,
TD&H Engineering, Sanderson Stewart, and KLJ.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The contract with each firm contains the same billable rates for their
services. The funds for these contracts will come from the Department of Community
Development’s contracted services budget.
