Subject:Invasive offensive noise from fairgrounds
Date:Monday, April 14, 2014 10:29:17 AM
As my wife and I were sitting on our couch quietly reading Saturday night, April 12,2014, our housebegan to VIBRATE with a penetrating obnoxious low rumbling noise.Upon opening our front door, I was able to easily discern that the source of this offensive intrusive noisewas coming from the fairgrounds, over FOUR blocks away.
Bozeman City Ordinance 1539 clearly states "It is unlawful to disturb the quiet, comfort, or repose ofany person."
In the privacy of our living room , our comfort, repose and peace were INVADED by the blatantdisregard by the fairgrounds of the rules of civility set forth by the City of Bozeman.
These offensive noise violations by the fairgrounds have been a continuing problem for thesurrounding neighborhood. The issue will only get worse if an outdoor amplified sound equipment venueis allowed ( think concert venue/'ice climbing wall').
The neighborhood surrounding the fairgrounds does not want these noise violations to continue. Please put a stop to the obtrusive and invasive noise generated by amplified sound equipment at thefairgrounds.
Thankyou for your consideration,Christopher SpogisMaryEllen Spogis
