It has been a very family friendly area - a park across the street, very little traffic, and an open field behind our house complete with a creek, natural spring pond, bald eagles, great horned owls, a family of foxes, sand hill cranes, the occasional deer, and so much more. The Traditions' (my neighborhood) developer, who is also the developer of this Westbrook subdivision, informed us before we purchased our home in 2008 that nothing could be built behind us due to the wetlands being a protected area. Imagine my irritation and disappointment about 6 months later when we received notice that someone had submitted a major subdivision application for this very same wetlands! I am still astounded that it got approved. Now, a proposed amendment to change the zoning to allow for high density housing is simply frightening. I understand the buildings could simply be two-household residences, but they could also be major apartment complexes! We have no specific plans on which to base our decision, so I am basing my decision to OPPOSE the Westbrook ZMA Z13296 proposed amendment to the zoning map to change 5.4 acres from R-3 to R-4 on the worst-case scenario. The possibility of giant complexes, increased traffic, change in the character of my neighborhood, and decrease in my property value is enough to make me cringe - please vote NO on this amendment. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter, Carolyn Anderson 833A Rosa Way Bozeman, MT 59718 406-600-0199
