Mr. Mayor and Commissioners:
On behalf of The Trust for Public Land, I wish to express our support for the Sports Complex. The
investment of Trails, Open Space and Parks (TOP) bond funding in this project will support youth
soccer and other league sports by providing a tournament quality venue for the City of Bozeman. This
project was contemplated during the TOP bond campaign as one of several key investments to support
youth programs and economic vitality for our community.
With your approval of the sports complex, the City will have allocated funding through the TOP
program for five significant and distinct investments across our community. This is a huge success
story for our City’s first-ever parks and trails bond program. The Sports Complex, along with the Story
Mill Community Park, Path to the M, expansion at Bozeman Ponds, and Bozeman Creek Enhancement
at Bogert Park, represent diverse outdoor amenities to the benefit of people all across our community.
Thank you for your leadership in support of vibrant outdoor recreation for Bozeman.
Sincerely,
Maddy Pope
Project Manager
