COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1259
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING IT
TO BE TO THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS
THEREOF AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE
SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED TO EXTEND THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CON-
TIGUOUS TRACT WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.

WHEREAS, there has been presented
to the City Commission of the City of Bozeman a written and
verbal request peti.tioning the said Ci ty Commission to extend the boundaries of the Ci ty of Bozeman
so as to include certain contiguous tracts of land within the houndaries of
the City of Bozeman and
having presented to the City of Bozeman proposed plats and certificate of survey of said land;
and
HHEREAS, the proper legal description of said con tiguous
tracts located in the County
of Gallatin, State of Montana,
is as follows:
A tract of land in the East Half of the East Half of the Northwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 2 South,
Range 5 East, M.P,M., being more particularly describf.'rl as follows:
Beginning at a point which is South 47'38' West a dis tance
of 292.6
fee t from Pain t "A", said point "A" being a point on the
centerline
of U.S. Highway No. 191 at Station 354 + 73.9, and said point "A"
also being South a distance of 539.4 feet and West a distance of 1536.6
feet from the East Quarter Corner of said Section,
said highway
having a centerline bearing of North 42'21~' East;
thence from said
point of beginning South a distance of 604.9 feet along the line
connecting corners 3 and Lf, being those referred to in Book of
Deeds
125-385, Recorder's Office, Gallatin County, Montana,
to a point
which is said corner 4; thence South 89'52' West a distance
of 165.0
feet; thence North a distance of 604.9 feet;
thence North 89'52'
East a distance of 165.0 feet to the point of beginning.
This trac t
contains 2.291 acres, more or less.
A tract of land in the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, M.P.M.,
Gallatin County, Montana, and being more particularly described
as follows:

The East Half of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, M.P.M., Gallatin
County, Montana. This
tract contains 10.066 acres, more or less.
The above two tracts contain 12.357 acres, more or less,
and are to be
known as Strozzi I s First Subd ivision.
WHEREAS, it will be for
the best interest of the City of Bozeman and the inhabitants thereof
and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts
hereinbefore described to extend the boundaries of
the City of Bozeman so as to include the said contiguous tracts hereinbefore described within the
corporate limits of the said City of Bozeman.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1. That pursuant
to the provisions of Section 11-403, Revised Codes of Montana, 1947,
it is hereby declared to be to the best interst of the City
of Bozeman and the inhabitants thereof
and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts
hereinbefore described that the boundaries of the
said City of Bozeman be extended so as to include the contiguous tracts hereinbefore described with-
in the boundaries and corporate limits of the City of Bozeman, Montana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana at a regular
session held
on the 6th day of April, 1966.

NOTICE IN RE
COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1259 of the CITY OF BOZEMAN STATING THE
INTENTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID
CITY OF BOZEMAN TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND
ADJOINING SAID CITY.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th day of April,
1966, at a regular meeting of
the City Commi.ssion of the City of Bozeman, the said Commission duly and regularly passed and adopted
Commission Resolution No. 1259, entitled:

"A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING IT
TO BE TO THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS
THEREOF AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE
SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED TO EX-
TEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE
SAID CONTIGUOUS TRACT WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF."
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN THAT Wednesday, the 4th day of May,
1966, at one o'clock p.m.,
at the Commission Room of the City Hall, Bozeman, Montana, is designated as the time and place for
hearing objections to the action proposed to be taken in said Resolution No. 1259, whereby it is
proposed to embrace the hereinafter described contigent territory within the corporate limits of
the City of Bozeman, Montana. Expressions of approval or disapproval by resident freeholders of
the territory proposed to be embraced must be made in writing and filed with the Clerk of the City
Commission of the City of Bozeypan not later than twenty (20) days after the date of the firs t
publication of this Notice.
A description of the boundaries of the territory proposed to be embraced by said Commission
Resolution No. 1259 is as follows:
A tract of land in the East Half of the East Half of the Northwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 2 South,
Range 5 East, M.P .M., being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is South 470381:2' West a distance of 292.6
feet from point "A", said Point "A" being a point on the centerline
of U.S.Highway No. 191 at Station 354 + 73.9, and said
point "A"
also being South a distance of 539.4 feet and West a distance of
