COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1265
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN
EXTENDING ~l1E BOUNDARIES OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS
TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS
TO THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN HEREIN MORE PA~TICULARLY
DESCRIBED, WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of

Bozeman a written and verbal request petitioning the said City Commission to
extend the boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as to include certain contiguous
tracts of land within the boundaries of the city of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, the proper legal description of said contiguous tracts is as
follows:
A tract of land in the East Half of the East Half of the
Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 11,
Township 2 South, Range 5 East, M.P.M., being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at e point which is South 47.3Sl' west a disten~e
of 292.6 feet from point "A", sa.id point "Aft being .'~ point
on the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 191 at Station
354 + 73.9, and said point "A" also bein~ South a distance
of 539.4 feet and West a distance of 153 .6 feet from the
East Quarter Corner of said Secti~n, said highway having a
centerline bearing of North 42.21 ' East; thence from said
point of beginning South a distance of 604.9 feet along the
line connectin~ corners 3 and 4, being those referred to in
Book of Deeds 25-385, Recorder's Office, Gallatin County,
Montana, to a point which is said corner 4; thence South
89.52' West a distance of 165.0 feet; thence North a dis-
tance of 604.9 feet; thence North 89.52' East a distance of
165.0 feet to the point of beginning. This

2.291 acres, more or less.

A tract of land in the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of
the Southwest Quarter of Section II, Townsh1.p 2 South, Range
5 East, M.P.M., Gallatin County, Montana, and being more
particularly described as follows:
The East Half of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of
the SOlJtheast Quarter of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range
5 East, M.P.M., Gallatin County, Mont.ana. This tract con-
tains 10.066 acres, more or less.
The above two tracts contain 12.357 acres, more or less, and
are to be known as Strozz i1 s First Sub'U vision.
WHEREA S , the City Commission of the said City of Bozeman has, by its Reso-
lution No. 1259, regularly passed and adopted on the 6th day of April,
1966,
declared it to be for the best interests of the said City of Bozeman and the
inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore
described that the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman be extended so as to
include said contiguous tre c ts; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the C1 ty Commi ss ion has, pursuant
to the provisions of
Section 11-403, Revised Co~es of Montana, 1947, given the required
notice to
public
property owners and caused to be published the required notice of such proposed I
extension of the boundaries of said City of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, twenty (20) da Y8 have expired since the de te of the
firs t publica-
tion of said notice; and
WHEREAS, less than a majority of the resident freeholders of the territory
to be embraced have filed with the City Clerk written expressions of disapproval,

to-wit No written protests, each signed by -2-- resiient freeholders
of said
terri tory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE: IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF' BOZEMAN:
Section 1. That pursuant to the authority vested in the City Commission
of
I the City of Bozeman by Section 11~403, Revised Codes of Montana,
1947, it is
hereby declared that the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman shall be extend-
ed so as to embrace and include within the boundaries and corporate li~its of
the said City of Bozeman the tracts contiguous thereto and hereinbefore describ-
ed.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be, and the same is hereby declared
to be effective immediately upon its adoption and epPDoval.

hereby certify the t the foregoing Resolu tion No. 1265, was published by title
and number in the Bozeman Dally Chronicle, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in said City in the issue of May 16th and due proof of
such publication is on file in my office.
