According to the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District Economic Impact Study, The Sports Park will bring a potential increase of $1.2 million in annual tax revenue for Bozeman and "…generate over $3.5 million in annual visitor expenditures.” The economic impact numbers for the entire community are staggering: "$21.9 million in Gross Economic Output, $12.4 million in Gross County Product, $7.7 million in Total Labor Income, 277 total jobs (full and part- time) and $3.3 million in Capital Income." Our family personally knows how much economic impact we leave behind each weekend in Helena, Billings, Butte, Great Falls, and Kalispell for the soccer tournaments and friendlies we travel to each season for our children. The Sports Park is poised to become a regional tournament site for not only Montana soccer teams due to our central location but also for teams from Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and Canada. The Montana Youth Soccer Association and the Montana High School Association have consistently denied Bozeman’s bids for tournaments citing insufficient infrastructure for large multi-day tournaments. It is these tournaments that bring out-of-town visitors. These visitors are families who would spend their dollars in restaurants, hotels, gas stations, retail stores and on Main Street. How many more will venture on to Big Sky, Yellowstone? The Sports Park will belong to the entire Bozeman community welcoming every resident with trails forhikes, a playground and open space. We encourage the city commission members to support theSports Park in its entire plan to not only serve today and tomorrow's sports teams but all of ourresidents and local businesses.Thank you for all that you do for the Bozeman community.Sincerely,David and Tiffany ColettaBozeman, Montana /tlc
