Dear Bozeman City Commission,
I would like to write to encourage you to support the idea of a Story Mill Park on the north side
of Bozeman. My husband was born and raised here and after growing up in Helena and moving
to Bozeman many years ago and making it my home, I understand the benefit of open space
that is usable year round. We keep hearing of our community growing and growing and we
need to set aside more space for this growing population to use for recreation. This park would
be a wonderful link to downtown and both people on the north side of Bridger Drive and the
south towards downtown would be able to have quick access to it. I believe this part of
Bozeman is underserved for city park area compared to downtown, the south side and the west
end of town and these residents deserve a city park area. Approval for the funding for this park
seems to be a "no-brainer" if the Trust for Public Lands is to match the funding.
Thank you for your consideration for this park that so many Bozeman residents could benefit
from!
