I write to express my support for the Story Mill Project that you will consider this evening. The
site for the proposed park is unique and will have greater value as our community grows. The
quality of the wildlife habitat and the ecological processes it supports are outstanding. I predict
that with the passage of time recreationists of all sorts will have a hard time imagining Bozeman
without a Story Mill Park.
I am not surprised by the favorable review by the Trails, Open Space and Parks Committee that
concluded that the Story Mill Park as proposed is a great deal for the public. That review
combined with continued keen support from the Trust for Public Land makes the proposal an
opportunity that Bozeman can ill afford pass up.
I look forward to learning of your favorable review of the proposal to develop a Story Mill Park.
