Message: I am very familiar with the site on which the 54 acre Story Mill CommunityPark is proposed. I strongly urge your vote to approve Resolution 4517 that wouldprovide funding for this project from Trail, Open Space and Parks Bond funds. I havewalked in this area and value this landscape for its wetlands and wildlife and birdhabitat. This proposal meets the request of citizens for play space for children andareas for wildlife viewing, educational opportunities, habitat preservation, andwetlands restoration and protection. This project is an example of a collaborativeeffort among partner groups interested in access to recreation, opportunities ofeducation in the natural world, and wetlands preservation. Resolution 4517 deservesthe full support of the City Commission. Please vote in favor of the resolution.
