The City of Bozeman Park and Recreation Department is currently in the process of updating, improving and codifying all entrance signs to city-owned and maintained parks. The purpose of the update is to provide park entrance signs that are easily identifiable, appropriately proportioned and minimize maintenance. The upgrade of signage will take place over several years, with the goal of replacing approximately five (5) signs per year. The City of Bozeman’s Park and Recreation Department has chosen to offer to local design teams, artists and companies the opportunity to design and construct park signs that reflect their individual interpretation of Bozeman and its park system. The challenge of the proposal will be providing a sign that is economical, maintenance friendly, yet uniquely Bozeman. Each sign will need to comply with the City of Bozeman’s sign code. The Park and Recreation Department has allocated $10,000 each fiscal year in its Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the Park Sign Replacement Program. The project is identified as GF #194 in the CIP.
