Greetings Commissioners,
I am writing to ask for your support for the Story Mill Park Proposal. I view this park proposal as one of Bozeman's biggest opportunities to continue to develop and protect lands for public use and enjoyment, and simultaneously protect and restore some of the natural resource values that we all cherish in this valley. There are few if any equal opportunities for park settings that compare to the Story Mill project. ITs location at the confluence of Bozeman Creek and the East Gallatin make it one of the most important natural resource areas in the valley. Its position at the nexus and as a connector of existing trails out to Story MIll and future trails from there to the M make it a critical piece of the trail system.
Quite simply, this is the type of park setting that will help maintain the recreational values that our community cherishes.

I would be happy to answer any questions about the wetland and ecological values and restoration of this project, as I am intimately familiar with it.
