Message: It is my hope that the commission will put our special trails money tobetter use than for soccer fields. Open spaces, parks and trails are used by thecommunity in far greater numbers than would be fields dedicated primarily tochildren's competitive sports. Same could be said for a swimming complex. I think itappropriate for the city to support such endeavors in part, but I also think that theschool system, parents, users should be the ones to put the money up to buildthem.
