Commissioners -
I'd like to add my voice to the chorus in support of TPL's Story Mill Community Parkproject. This worthy project will create a flagship park at the confluence of the EastGallatin River and Bozeman Creek. These two waterways are the current focus ofmultiple efforts to restore stream resources and ecosystem function, expandopportunities for river recreation, and improve community quality of life. Of all theongoing and envisioned future efforts, the Story Mill project likely will yield thegreatest benefits in terms of wetland and stream restoration,improvements towildlife habitat and water quality, and opportunities for nature-based outdoorrecreation and environmental education. In addition, the project is situated in such alocation that its planned trails will provide important connections in the Main Streetto the Mountains trail system.
I urge you to give this worthy project favorable consideration for TOP bond funding.
