Dear City Commissioners:
I am writing to ask you to vote "yes" on the Story Mill Community Park Proposal.This is a wonderful opportunity for the city to create a park that people can enjoynow and long into the future. The new park will provide high quality space for play,hiking, walking and other healthful activities. It will also preserve habitat for wildlifeand birds as well as a classroom for nature and outdoor education. It will preserveand restore wetlands that will help preserve clean water in and around Bozeman. Atthe $4.5 price proposed and with the Trust for Public Lands offering to raise andcontribute $3.75 million, the current proposal is a great deal!
This is a wonderful opportunity--a once-in-a-life-time-opportunity--to serve so manyneeds and constituents in our community long into the future. Just as we thankthose who established the parks in Bozeman we all enjoy today, such as Pete's Hill,the walking trails around town, and other local parks, the Story Mill Community Parkwill be a boon for us now and for the future.
Please vote "yes" on the Story Mill Community Park proposal. Thank you.
