Dear TOP Committee Members and Bozeman City Commission:
We are writing to urge your support of the Bozeman Sports Complex by allocating the
amount requested in bond issue proceeds for the purchase of land and field creation.
We know you have received many messages describing the need in Bozeman for a Sports
Complex and so with this e-mail we will not go through a lengthy discussion of all of those
reasons. We will point out that as parents of a 14-year old Lacrosse player and an 11-year
old soccer player you can imagine the miles we have put on our vehicles and thousands of
dollars spent in other communities to support their endeavors.
The City Commission wisely voted to include support of the Sports Complex in the election
question for the Bond and now we request that you please allocate the amount formally
requested to make this very worthy project possible. The time is right to provide support
for our children for generations to come and also reap the continued benefits from an
economic perspective. Tournament dollars from hosting large events will ripple through this
area and in short order outmatch our taxpayer investment for a very favorable cost-benefit
analysis.
