Bozeman is an active community with a forward-thinking vision, and a first-classsporting facility is part of that vision. Here are a number of reasons:
I live here because of the active lifestyle and the quality of life, and a state ofthe art facility for soccer and lacrosse would add significantly to that. Our family spends lots of money traveling to tournaments, staying in hotelsand eating out in Helena, Great Falls, Billings and Missoula-- let's capture someof that revenue here in Bozeman! Let's also provide opportunities for our kids to play and have city leagues herein town, without having to travel so much--we'll see participation increase andwe'll all have more time to contribute to Bozeman when we don't have to drive5 or 6 hours each weekend for games.I'd also like to say that my kids will be out of the house by the time a facility iscomplete, yet I still support it. I'm thinking of their kids, and as a smallbusiness owner, my ability to attract talented employees and our generalcommunity spirit here. A great facility benefits the whole community, not justthe kids that play soccer or their families.With that in mind, I encourage you to take the long view. Don't build it tomeet today's demand-- build it for the community Bozeman will be...whatBozeman WANTS to be.
