During that time, we have traveled all over the Gallatin Valley to access practice fields, and have spent hundreds of dollars in single "soccer game" Saturdays on food, gas, and lodging in Missoula, Helena, Billings, Great Falls, and Kalispell. The local soccer clubs have been growing exponentially at the younger levels and the youth academy continues to produce high quality players that continue to play at Bozeman High School and beyond at the college level. And yet, even after heralding state champions year after year, we are unable to host a state tournament due to lack of facilities. Our kids need a great place to practice and play that is connected to neighborhoods and trails. A sports complex would not only benefit the growing lacrosse and rugby programs, but would be a tremendous boost to the Bozeman economy. While Missoula, Helena, Billings, Great Falls, and Kalispell are nice places to visit every once in a while, people all over the state desire to come to beautiful Bozeman. Hotels, restaurants, retailers, and Museum of the Rockies (soccer players have little siblings that need something to do) would all benefit from having hundreds of people in town over the weekend. Thank you for all of your time and research in considering this exciting project. Please vote in favor of the Multi-Use Sports Complex.
