As a transplanted Alaskan that moved to Bozeman for school 7 years ago and wasfortunate in not having to leave for work, I am constantly appreciative of the parksand trail systems throughout Bozeman proper. I came from a similarly sized butsubstantially more spread out city with close-by access to traffic-free trails. I'm anavid running and a commuter cyclist and much prefer not to run and ride next totraffic whenever possible. This park would be a fabulous addition for the runners,walkers, strollers, and dog-owners of Bozeman, as well as move us farther towardconnecting the current trail system to the M (which I'm also ecstatic about.)Although I enjoy driving out to Hyalite or Bear Trap or other similar trail systems, Istick to the Galligator and other nearby trails for weekdays when I still have to getto work. This would be another great option for the mix.
Please vote in favor of this proposed park project. Keep Bozeman casual, natural,and friendly to outdoor enthusiasts, while improving the aesthetics of the Northeastpart of town.
