Collins,Colorado, we did so because of the great open space andgreat resources Bozeman offered. While living in the Lehrkind mansion from 1988 - 1996 weenjoyed walking along trails we discovered along Bozemanand Gold Creek ( or East Gallatin) all the way to theStockyards. Our children rode their bikes along L street andwe fished and explored the entire proposed park area. I havea few shots of the fading " it's the Wheat" sign on the Millitself.Bozeman has grown tremendously since those days. It needsmore of these kind of projects that connect trails and peoplewith the land and nature. My friends Clyde Aspevig uses theterm " land snorkel ". I think this would be a great area formore children to observe and learn about nature. Learn towalk slowly and observe this great earth underneath our feet. What a great opportunity to preserve open space so close totown. We all have come to Bozeman and enjoyed its greatproximity to parks and Recreation. We need to support projects like these that benefit so manypeople. For our children's, children's, children. We support the Story Mill Community Park. We will not be here for the Commission meeting but urge you to voteyes. We value our wetlands and open space within walking distance totown and other trail systems close by. John and Claudia Foster 626 Old Farm Rd Bozeman, Mt. 59715 Sent from my iPad
