To Our Esteemed City Commissioners:
I am writing to respectfully urge you to vote yes on the Story Mill Park proposal. Ihave owned Altitude Gallery in downtown Bozeman for 8 years and I believe thatone of the keys to success for our locally owned small businesses is the abundanceof parks and trails surrounding our downtown. Since the Great Recession (when Iwent to work in the evenings at Montana Aleworks just to keep my doors open), Ihave met more and more visitors from out of town that are astounded by the closeproximity of the Great Outdoors to our wonderful Main Street. When a person canshop and dine in a unique, historic setting in the morning and be immersed innature in the afternoon, we truly have a special relationship with this beautiful placethat we call home. The Story Mill project is a well thought out plan that will benefitboth the locals and the visitors that bring so much economically to our town.
