Dear Bozeman City Commissioners and TOP committee members:
I am writing to urge you to fund the Bozeman Sports Park to the greatest extent possible.
As a parent of two lacrosse players, I am amazed and embarrassed by the shortage of sports
fields and that lacrosse ( the fastest growing sport in Montana and across the country) gets
so little consideration - it's almost an afterthought compared to soccer, baseball and
football. We have nearly 300 kids playing lacrosse in Bozeman, but only one field for all of
them to share. If we are to compete in this amazing sport, we need a high quality facility
that reflects the quality of our kids and community. Bozeman needs a facility that is large
enough to meet the current and future needs of our organized field sports programs.
Bozeman needs a sports park that is of the quality and size to accommodate and host
statewide and regional tournaments and the millions of dollars of associated annual
revenue.
Thank you for your support and consideration of this request. And please fund this crucial
park for the good of our kids and of our community.
