Dear Bozeman City Commission,
I am writing in support of the proposed sports park at Baxter Lane and Flanders Mill Road. As a local
business person, father of four elementary students and a 5+ year youth soccer coach, I have seen
the need for this facility. My family and I have traveled to soccer tournaments in Helena, Kalispell,
Great Falls, Billings, Belgrade and Livingston. It is evident that Bozeman has a void in its youth sports
infrastructure after seeing the facilities these other Montana towns have chosen to prioritize, invest
in and build. From a smart planning standpoint, the proposed location for this facility is in the
center of the future growth of our town and boarders both our newest elementary school and also
what will most likely be the second high school location. In addition to enhancing the development
of local youth sports, the facility will also make Bozeman a top choice for hosting state and region
wide tournaments which makes good business since.
