Subject: Open Space???
To the Mayor and Commissioners: Really? $9 million for a soccer stadium? I can understand
the benefit to hotel owners but where is the benefit for most of the residents of Bozeman? We
voted for open space, not for a facility that can be used for a few months a year. The dog and
human impact on the few parks we have will only increase as this town grows. I realize the
option of buying some fields for sports was mentioned in the open space proposal but I do not
think the taxpayers voted to build a stadium. I support every school bond and expect there will
be more very soon. I believe that it is important for a community to fund education but I do not
want to be taxed to fund a very seasonal sports facility. Sincerely, Mary Lou Osman
