Commissioners,
My understanding is Monday evening you will be considering appointingsomeone to a two year term on the Bozeman (Area) Pedestrian and Traffic SafetyCommittee. While I cannot speak officially for the committee (they have notdiscussed the vacancy), I would like to share my personal observations, opinions,and recommendation. I cannot do that verbally Monday evening because I ampresently in Washington DC attending transportation meetings and won't get backuntil late Tuesday night, so I am hoping you will get this email and will consider mycomments.
I STRONGLY urge you to re-appoint Danielle Scharf to the position. Sincefirst being appointed to PTS, Danielle has attended 95% of our committee meetings,has served as an absolutely excellent committee secretary, and has officiallyrepresented PTS at meetings of various governmental bodies including the CityCommission. Moreover, Danielle herself is a professional traffic engineer and shehas frequently advised us on relevant regulations, policies, and issues.
Danielle truly has been an asset to the committee. I urge you to reappointher.
