.... t~; ..:-" AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY COMMISSION TO EXECUTE
.......- AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BOZEMAN SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION. A MONTANA
CORPORATION. ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. MONTANA.
WHEREAS. the City of Bozeman. Montana. by and through.the City Commission. upon the recom-
mendation and approval of the City Manager. has heretofore entered into negotiations with the I
Bozeman Softball Association. a Montana corporation. wherein the Bozeman Softball Association
desires to construct a recreation complex to be located on city property just south of Haggerty
Lane. in Bozeman. Montana. and more particularly described as follows:
A portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
the Southwest Quarter (SEtNWtSWt). a portion of the East Half
of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (E~SWtSWt). a
portion of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of the South-
west Quarter (W~SEtSWt). and a portion of the Southwest Quarter
of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SWtNEtSWt)
of Section 8. Township 2 South. Range 6 East. M.P.M.. being a
portion of Block 6. all of Block 5 of the Northern Pacific Addition.
and all of Blocks 1. 6. 7 and 12 of the Drum Lummon Addition. and
a portion of an unplatted tract lying in the West Half of the
Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (W~SEtSWt) of Section8.
Township 2 South. Range 6 East. M.P.M.. and a portion of Blocks
14 and 15, all of Blocks 16 and 17 of the Granite Addition to
Bozeman, Montana.
and.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Commission that it is to the best interest of the City of
Bozeman to complete said negotiations by the execution of an Agreement with the Bozeman Softball
Association.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AS FOLLOWS: I
l. That the concept of the proposed recreation complex and the use of
city land as herein-
before described by. and hereby is approved;
2. That the Mayor of the City of Bozeman. William E. Grabow. and the Clerk of the City Com-
mission, Erna V. Harding, be. and they hereby are authorized for and on behalf of the City of
Bozeman. to make and execute an Agreement wherein the Bozeman Softball Association agrees to
construct a recreation complex with funds furnished equally by the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation and
the said Bozeman Softball Association on lands furnished by the city of Bozeman. Montana. said
recreation complex to be open to the public upon its completion and operated and maintained as a
portion of the city park and recreation system at the expense of the city of Bozeman. Montana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission at its regular meeting held on the 19 day of
July. .1972.

and due proof of such publication is on file in my office.
