A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING
IT TO BE TO THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS
THEREOF AND THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OFLAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID CITY
OF BOZEMAN AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CONTGUOUS TRACT WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
I WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of Bozeman a
written and verbal request petitioning the said City Commission to extend the boundaries of the
City of Bozeman so as to include certain contiguous tracts of land within the boundaries of the
City of Bozeman and having presented to the City of Bozeman proposed plats and certificate of
survey of said land; and
WHEREAS, the proper legal description of said contiguous tracts
located in the county
of Gallatin, state of Montana, is as follows:
Several tracts of land situated in the East Half of the Northeast Quarter
Qf the Southwest Quarter (E~NE~SW~) and the Nor~hHalf of the Southeast
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (N\SE~SW~) of Section 13, Township 2 South,
Range 5 East, M.P.M. and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point that bears South 89019' West a distance of thirty (30) feet
and South 00006' East a distance of 251 feet from the center of Section 13,
Township 2 South, Range 5 East, being the southeast corner of a tract of land
owned by the state of Montana as recorded in Book 125, Page 255 in the Clerk
and Recorder's Office, Gallatin County; thence South 89019' West a
distance
of 308.7 feet; thence North 0001' East a distance of 251 feet to the Northerly
line of the Southwest one quarter of said Section 13; thence South 89019'
West along the east west one quarter line of said Section 13, a distance of
324.4 feet to the north west corner of the E~NE~SWt of said Section 13; thence
South 0035' West along the west line of tbe E\NE\SW\, a distance of 1333.7 feet
I to the Southwest corner of said E%NEtSWt; thence south 89028' West along the
northerly line of the N~SEtSWt of Section 13 a distance of 697.3 feet; to the
northwesterly corner of said N~SEtSWt of Section 13; thence southerly along
the westerly line of said N~SE%SW\ a distance of 666 feet more or less to the
southwest corner of said N~SEtSWt; thence Easterly along the southerly line of
said N~SEtSWt a distance of 1376 feet more or less to the east line of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 13; thence North 00006' West along said
easterly one quarter line a distance of 620.83 feet to the Northeast corner
of said N~SEtSWt, thence South 89028' West a distance of 30 feet;
thence
North 00006' West a distance of 1084.20 feet to the true point of beginning.
To be known as the Tai Lane Addition and Boylan's No. I Addition Annexation
as shown on the attached plat.
Containing within the above described exterior boundaries 38.87 acres more or
less.
Also containing within the above described exterior the following numbered
Tracts of land for identification purposes and recorded owners of such
tracts or lots.

I WHEREAS, it will be for the best interest of the City of Bozeman and the inhabitants
thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore described to extend the
boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as to include the said contiguous tracts hereinbefore
described within the corporate limits of the said City of Bozeman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-403,
Revised Codes of Montana,
1947, it is hereby declared to be to the best interest of the City of Bozeman and the inhabitants

thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore described that the
boundaries of the said city of Bozeman be extended so as to include the contiguous tracts
hereiuoefore descriued within the boundaries and corporate limits of the city of Bozeman,
Montana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular
session held on the 28th day of June, 1972. III

NOTICE IN RE
COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1519 OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN STATING THE INTENTION
OF THE CITY COMMISSION TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN TO EMBRACE
AND INCLUDE A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND ADJOINING SAID CITY.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 28th day of June, 1972, at a regular meeting of
the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, the said Commission duly and regularly
passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 1519 entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING
IT TO BE TO THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS III
THEREOF AND THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID CITY
OF BOZEMAN AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CONTIGUOUS TRACT WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF."
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That Wednesday, the 26th day of July, 1972, at one o'clock
p.m. . at the Commission Room of the City Hall, Bozeman. Montana, is designated as the time and
place for hearing objections to the action proposed to be taken in said Resolution No. 1519,
whereby it is proposed to embrace the hereinafter described contingent territories within the
corporate limits of the city of Bozem;an, Montana. Expressions of approval or disapproval by
resident freeholders of the territories proposed to be embraced must be made in writing and filed
with the Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman not later than twenty (20) days
after the date of the first publication of this Notice.
A description of the boundaries of the territtories proposed to embraced by said
Commission Resolution No. 1519 is as follows:
