HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdministrative Order No. 2009-01 Declaring an EmergencyREVISED ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER N0.2009-01 Issued March 5, 2009 WHEREAS, an explosion occurred on the north side of the 200 block of East Main Street this morning at 8:15 am and emergency services are still working to contain the fire at 11:00 am. WHEREAS, there is a need for continued support from local area emergency services. The site is inundated with response vehicles, media, and interested citizens wanting to help or just observe. WHEREAS, the continued burning creates an imminent threat of disaster causing immediate peril to life or property that can be averted or minimized through timely action. Life line systems are impacted, including electric, gas, water/wastewater systems, cable and communications. Problems with life line systems must be identified early and repaired, if not restored, expeditiously. NOW THEREFORE, as principal executive officer of the City of Bozeman, I hereby declare a local emergency for the City of Bozeman pursuant to MCA X10-3-402 and declare that all provisions of the City Emergency Operations Plan are in effect, to include all applicable provisions of the interjurisdiction plan with Gallatin County, and further, that standard rules pertaining to procurement of goods and services are hereby suspended until terminated by separate Administrative Order. BE IT FURTHER DECLARED, that copies of this Administrative Order be filed with the Clerk of the Commission and the Montana Disaster and Emergency Services Division in Helena, Montana.
