A RESOLUTION OF THE COl\1M:mSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEHAll EXTENDING 'l'HE
BommARIES OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO EIIBRACE AND INCLUDE
CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID CI'l'Y OF BOZEHAN ADD
HEREIN 11DRE P ART I CULARLY DESCRIBED, v!I'l'HIN THE CORPORATE LIMITfJ
THEREOF.
WHEREAS. there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of Bozeman a written and I
verbal request :petitioning the said City Commission to extend the boundaries of the city of Bozeman so
as to include certain contiguous tracts of land within the boundaries of the city of Bozeman; and,
WHEREAS, the proper legal description of said contiguous tracts is as follows:
Beginning at the center of Section 18, Township 2 South, Range 6
East of Montana Principal l<1eridian; thence North along the North-
South centerline of said Section 18, said line being also the east
line of University Subdivision and University Subdivision No.2,
a distance of 1,931.45 feet to the northeast corner of University
: Subdivision; thence South 89021' West along the north line of Uni-
versity Subdivision a distance of 509.15 feet; thence along a circular
curve to the left having radius 233.19 feet through a central angle
of 59005' an arc distance of 240.41 feet; thence South 30016' West
a distance of 91.81 feet; thence North 59044' West a distance of 25 feet;
thence South 30016' West a distance of 1,503.6 feet to a point on
the east line of the Butte Addition; thence north along said east
line of said Butte Addition a distance of 511.15 feet to the south-
west corner of the Eck Addition; thence east along the south line of
said Eck Addition a distance of 90 feet to the southeast corner;
thence North 8030' East along the east line of said Eck Addition a
distance of 221.53 feet to the southeast corner of Langohr's First
Addition; thence North 9042' East a distance of 251.02 feet; thence
along a circular curve to "the left with radius 320.15 feet through
a central angle of 19046' an arc distance of 110.68 feet; thence
North 0004' West a distance of 124.1 feet to the southwest corner
of the Spring Dell Addition; thence along the south line of said
Spring Dell Addition, South 69009' East a distance of 372.3 feet; I
thence along the east line of said Spring Dell Addition North 31011'
East a distance of 311.06 feet; thence continuing along the east
line of said Spring Dell Addition, along a circular curve to the left
having radius 1,401.1 feet through a central angle of 24035'24"
an arc distance of 604.2 feet; thence continuing along the east line
of said Spring Dell Addition, North 0014' West a distance of 181.4
feet to the northeast corner of Spring Dell Addition, said point
being on the north line of Section 18, Township 2 South, Range~~
East; thence along said north line of Section 18, North 88026'
East a distance of 602.9 feet to the north quarter corner of said
Section 18; thence easterly along the north line of Section 18 to
a point on the west line of the Electric Heights Addition to the
City of Bozeman; thence South 81.2 feet; thence East 148.5 feet;
thence South 586.1 feet; thence East 66 feet; thence South 234.96
feet; thence East 48.5 feet; thence South 198 feet; thence South
0045' West a distance of 100 feet; thence Bouth 8015' Hest a distance
of 293 feet more or less to a point on the East-Hest centerline of
Section 18; thence westerly along said East-llest Centerline of
Section 18 to the center of said section, the place of beginnine.
Containing within the above described exterior boundaries 69 acres,
more or less, to be known and designated as the Bozeman Creek An-
nexation to the City of Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana.
and,
HHEREAS, the City Commission of the said City of Bozeman has, by its Resolution No. 1618, regularly
passed and adopted on the 3rd day of October, 1913, declared it to be for the best interests of said
Ci ty of Bozeman and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitant s of the contir:uous tracts herein-,
before described that the "boundaries of the said City of Bozeman be extended so as to include said con- I
tiguous tracts; and,
illlEREAS, the Clerk of the City Commission has, pursuant to the provisions of fJection 11-403,
Revised Codes of Montana, 1941, given the required notice to property owners and caused to be published
the required public notice of such proposed extension of the boundaries of said ci t:r of Bozeman; and,
WHEREAS, twenty (20) days have expired sir.ce the date of the first publication of said notice;
and,

v1HEREAS, less than a majority of the resident freeholders of the territory to be embraced have
filed with the City Clerk written expressions of disapproval, to wit:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Cot1HISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1. That pursuant to the authority vested in the City Commission of the City of Bozeman
I by Section 11-403, Revised Codes of Montana, 1941, it is hereby declared that the boundaries of the
said City of Bozeman shall be extended so as to embrace and include within the boundaries and corporate
limits of the said city of Bozeman the tracts contiguous thereto and hereinbefore described.
Section 2. 'fhat this Resolution shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be effective im-
mediately upon its adoption and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular session held on
the 14th day of November. 1913.
