nrovement district to be known and designated as Special Improvement District No. 534 of The City of
Bozeman for the purpose of constructinf1; and installinp: "ratermains, said nro.1ect to include all appurtenant
work for the construction and installation of watermains to nrovide watermains for all lots within the
district.

The character of the improvements to be made is the installation and construction of six, eight,
and tvrelve inch watermains including trench excavations and backfill, bedding materials, cast iron
I watermain. valves, hydrants, and fittings, and all necessary appurtenances thereto.

The total estimated costs of the improvements vrithin the district, includinp: engineerinr, legal
and contingency, is $52,000.

The cost of such improvement is to be assessed against the entire district, each lot, block, tract
or parcel of land "ithin the district .Till be assessed for that portion of the vrhole cost, .Thich its
area bears to the area of the entire district exclusive of streets, avenues, alleys and nublic places.
The total actual assessable area within the entire district is 1116,013.12 SQuare feet, and is the area
on which all nrotests will be received, considered and determined. It is also the figure on which all
assessments .rill be figured.

I The City Commission of The City of Bozeman does hereby find that the contemplated vorl: and imnrove-
ments are, in the opinion of the City Commission, of more than local or ordinary public benefit and that
the cost and expense of such improvements shall be charr;eable on an extended district and the City Com-
mission does hereby declare that the above described district and all lots included therein shall be
assessed to nay the costs and exnenses thereof.

Payments

The payments for said improvements shall be made in 20 annual installments extendinp: over a neriod
of 19 years, but this shall not be construed to prevent p~rment in full at any regular payment date by
any property owner who desires to do so. It is pronosed to pay the entire cost and expense of the con-
struction and installation of said improvements .rith cash to be obtained from the sale of bonds of said
Special Improvement District No. 534, as authori zed by la.T. Such bonds will be in denominations of
$100.00 each, and fractions or multiples of $100.00 .There necessary, to be issued and chargeable against
a fund to be known and designated as S:pecial Improvement District No. 534 Fund of the City of Bozeman.
The bonds will be redeemable at the o:ption of the City, singly or in multiples, and in the order of
their registration, whenever funds are available for the purpose on said Special Imnrovement District No.
I 534. Said bonds shall draw a simple interest from the date of their registration until called for
payment, at a rate not to exceed seven percent (1%) per annum. which interest shall be charreab1e as
part of the cost of construction and installation of said improvements. The bonds "rill be issued and
sold in accordance with the provisions of Section 11--2232 and Section 11-2211, Revised Codes of Hontana,
1941, and all other applicable provisions of Title 11 of the Revised Codes of r1ontana, 1941, relating
to special improvement districts in cities and towns, and any amendments thereof or thereto.

the City Hall, Bozeman. Montana, is designated by Resolution No. 1631 as the time when and the place
where the Commission of the City of Bozeman will hear and pass upon all protests that may be made
against the making of such improvements, or the creation of said district. Protest must be made in
writing and delivered to the Clerk of the City Commission within fifteen (15) d~ys after date
of the first publication of this notice.

I For a description of the boundaries of said Special Improvement District No. 534, reference is
hereby made to Resolution No. 1631 of the City Commission of The City of Bozeman declaring the in-
tention to create said district, which is on file in the office of the undersigned Clerk of said City
Commission in the City Hall of said City of Bozeman, in the state of Montana, and open for inspection
to all interested parties and the public generally.
This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-2204, Revised Codes of Montana,
1941. Dated this 31st day of October, 1913.
