SUBJECT: Administrative Order No. 1998-06
Please find attached a copy of Administrative Order No. 199$-06 which requires that my
authorization must first be obtained prior to imposing any fees, charges, costs or assessments not
existing on Tuesday, November 3, 1998. In obtaining my authorization, the request should be made
in writing explaining the nature of the request and the request should include all supporting
resolutions, ordinance provisions or other documeirts.
Please ensure that a copy of this memorandum aiid Administrative Order is provided to and
communicated to every employee within your departmeirt or division. If you have any questions
concerning this Administrative Order, please contact either Assistant City Manager Ron Brey,
Finance Director Miral Ga.mradt, City Attorney Paul Luwe, or myself.

Fees/Charges/Cost Recovery
Effective immediately, my authorization must First be obtained prior to imposing any fee,
charge, assessment, or other charges to recover costs of a program not already existing on Tuesday,
November 3, 1998. My authorization must also be obtained prior to increasing my fee, charge,
assessment, or cost recovery that was existing on Tuesday, November 3, 1998.
