Business Partners Program
For all business seeking recognition for their sustainability
efforts
Business Incentive Program
For businesses seeking financial assistance for energy retrofits
Business Partners Program
Businesses receive public recognition for participation
Stickers, poster display, listed on City of Bozeman website, and
use of program logo for marketing, Commission recognition
Businesses complete tasks from a list of options
Ex: NorthWestern Energy Appraisal, Benchmarking with EPA’s
Portfolio Manager, Building Commissioning, or a variety of
smaller sustainability commitments
Business Partners Program
City hosts quarterly energy workshops
Recognize a business for outstanding sustainability work at
each event
Businesses pay $50/year to participate
Supports programming and marketing

Business Incentive Program Requirements
Encourage local investment with a 2:1 match
requirement, up to $1500
Use NorthWestern Energy approved contractors
Require three quotes for work
Businesses reimbursed after submitting invoices and
visual inspection
Bozeman Business Incentive Program
Potential Partners:
NorthWestern Energy, Prospera Business Network
Lewis & Clark County, City of Missoula
New half-time City of Bozeman employee will launch and
support the program, recruit businesses, and be a point
person for energy conservation inquiries
Knowledge of all NorthWestern Energy, local, state, and federal
energy incentives
Serves as a resource for our residential and business energy
programs
