SUBJECT: Request by the applicant to table application Laurel Glen Lot 1 Block 4
growth policy amendment, P-13024, 964 Longbow Lane, to a date uncertain.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Commission accept the request to table the application. RECOMMENDED MOTION: I hereby table growth policy amendment application P-13024
to a date uncertain and direct that necessary noticing be provided when the application is to be
lifted from the table for consideration. BACKGROUND:
Application Type: Growth policy amendment.
Location: 964 Longbow Lane. The property is the entire block which is bounded by Laurel Glen
Parkway, Glenellen Drive, Longbow Lane, and Annie Street. The site is roughly 4.5 acres in size.
History: This application was received on July 24, 2013. The Planning Board held a public
hearing on September 3rd. Substantial neighborhood opposition was submitted in writing and
through verbal testimony. The Planning Board unanimously recommended denial of the
application.
The applicant and adjacent property owners have continued to discuss the application. The applicant wishes to have some additional time to address issues raised by the neighbors. The
applicant has submitted a written request for the City Commission to table the application at
this time. A new public notice will be required for the public hearing when the application is
taken back off of the table. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None.
ALTERNATIVES: The City Commission has the following alternative actions available:
1. Table the application as requested; or
2. Decline to table the application and set a date to conduct the public hearing.
