SUBJECT: Construction Agreement with Montana Department of Transportation, Main Street from 19th Avenue to Grand Avenue
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
MEETING DATE: September 23, 2013
RECOMMENDATION: Endorse the signature of the Director of Public Service on behalf
of the City Manager on the City Construct Agreement with the Montana Department of Transportation for improvements to Main Street from 19th Avenue to Grand Avenue.
BACKGROUND: The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will be rehabilitating
Main Street from 19th Avenue to Grand Avenue this fall. Most of the work will be mill and
overlay, but some of the work will involve excavation and replacement of the subgrade and then repaving. Much of the work will be done at night to minimize disruption. The attached agreement defines the responsibilities of the parties after the work is complete. These
responsibilities are the same as those we currently bear.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None. FISCAL EFFECTS: None.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
