Action Items
1)Approval of minutes from June 12, 2013 – Motion to approve by Mary Martin, seconded
by Dave Magistrelli. Approved.
Non-Action Items
1)Ethics Training – Aimee Brunckhorst, Deputy City Clerk and Public Engagement
Coordinator, provided the Board with its annual required Ethics Training, per City
Commission Ordinance No. 1856
Aimee gave each member of the Board a copy of the “City of Bozeman Ethics Handbook”
updated April 2013, and provided an overview of each section.
Particular points discussed extensively included the Gift Provisions and Post-Employment
Rules.
Commissioner Mehl recommended that each Board member reads through the Handbook and
asks either Aimee or City Attorney Greg Sullivan if they have questions.
FYI/Discussion
1)Commissioner Mehl informed the Board that the Rental Housing funding request was
approved in the City’s Final Budget, in addition to the $40,000 request for continued
support of the Road To Home Program.
2)Mary announced something about a Tax Credit project that the Board might be seeing?
Sorry, Mary, but I can’t interpret my notes!
3)David notified the Board that Habitat for Humanity will most likely be approaching the
City to request sponsorship for a $10,000 CDBG Planning Grant for Low-Income
Housing located on Ice Pond Row. This request would flow through the Board first and
then the Board would make a recommendation to the City Commission.
