COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1840
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
DECLARING IT TO BE TO THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN
AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT
OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN AND HEREIN MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY
OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CONTIGUOUS TRACT WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City COIT~ission of the City of Bozeman
a request petitioning the City Commission to extend the boundaries of the City of
Bozeman so as to include a certain contiguous tract of land for which a certificate
of survey has been prepared and which is described as follows:
"All that part of Tract 9, Beatty.s Subdivision in the East
half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of
Section Thirteen, in Township Two South, Range Five East,
M.P.M. , included within the following metes and bounds, to wit:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Tract 9, thence west-
erly along the north boundary thereof, a distance of 150 feet:
thence southerly and parallel to the east boundary line of said
Tract 9, a distance of 140 feet: thence easterly and parallel
to the north boundary line of said Tract 9, a distance of 150
feet: thence northerly along the east boundary line of said
Tract 9, a disaance of 140 feet to the place of beginning.
Also described as the north 140 feet of Tract 12, Beatty.s
Alder Court, a rearrangement of Tract 9 and 10 and the north
458.8 feet of Tract 11 of Beatty.s Subdivision."
WHERE1\.S, it will be for the best interest of the City of Bozeman and the inhabi-
tants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinabove described
to extend the boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as to include the said contiguous
tract hereinbefore described within the corporate limits of the said City of Bozeman, I
Montana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
That pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-403, Revised Codes of Montana,
1947, it is hereby declared to be to the best interest of the City of Bozeman and
the inhabitants thereof and the inhabitants of the contiguous tract hereinbefore
described that the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman be extended so as to
include the contiguous tracts hereinbefore described within the boundaries and
corporate limits of the City of Bozeman.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session held on the 24th day of November, 1976.

NOTICE IN RE
COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1840 OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
STATING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION TO EXTEND THE BOUN-
DARIES OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE A CER-
TAIN TRACT OF LAND ADJOINING SAID CITY.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 24th day of November, 1976, at the regular
I meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, said Commission du~y
and regularly passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 1840, entitled:

DECLARING IT TO BE THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND
THE INHABITANTS THEREOF AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF

NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN, that Wednesday, the 15th day of December,
1976,
at 1:15 o'clock p.m., at the Commission Room of the City Hall, Bozeman, Montana,
is
designated as the time and place for hearing objections to the action proposed to be
taken in said Resolution No. 1840, whereby it is proposed to embrace the hereinafter
described contiguous territories within the copporate limits of the City of Bozeman,
Montana. Expressions of approval or disapproval by resident freeholders of the
territories proposed to be embraced must be made i~ writing and filed with the Clerk
of the Ci'I~y Commission of the City of Bozeman not later than twenty (20)
days after
I the date of the first publication of this notice.
A description of the boundaries of the territories proposed to be embraced by
said Commission Resolution No. 1840 is as follows:
