SUBJECT: Recognizing the City of Bozeman in receiving the Cityworks Exemplary User Award

BACKGROUND: On May 22, 2013 the City of Bozeman was presented with the “Exemplary User Award” from Cityworks (Azteca Systems). The City of Bozeman has been using Cityworks software since 2008 to manage and record all aspects of work including labor,
materials and equipment within the Water/Wastewater Divisions allowing a detailed view of our
operations. A highly skilled field crew along with support from elected officials and
management has allowed the City to make the most of its investments by leveraging the power of GIS to analyze and reduce costs related to managing large collection and distribution systems. Using a GIS-centric approach to Asset Management has allowed the City to demonstrate a
commitment to community resources and managing infrastructure in the best way possible.
