I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue assisting with this important and worthwhile process. I feel that I've contributed positively to the DRB's activities over the past four years, and I've learned much from the discussions in turn. Having worked in Montana as a professional historian and architectural historian for nearly thirty years, I am very familiar with the topic and its relevance to local planning processes. As a long-time member of the city's Historic Preservation Advisory Board, I've also been able to serve as an informal liaison between the two groups. I remain interested in both the topic of historic preservation, and in the facilitation of responsible, planned growth here in Bozeman. While I fully support new members and the energy they bring I also feel it’s important to have members with institutional memory. We can learn from some of the miss- steps we have taken over the years. I n addition continuity is important given the changes with the planning staff over the past couple of years. The DRB is critical to the City’s mission and I am sure the work by the DRB has resulted in a more livable and economically viable place to live and do business. I have over 25 years of experience in design and construction, teach at the School of Architecture MSU, and am a licensed architect in the great state of Montana. Thank you for your consideration.
