Recreation Division Report
Jamie Saitta, Recreation Manager
June 2013
Our spring t-ball league for 3-8 year olds will come to a close on June 14. 417 children participated and
were separated into three leagues. We had 43 teams lead by volunteer coaches and all of our volunteer
coaches went through a background check. It was another very successful and FUN season!
All of our summer staff have been hired and have completed training. We have a great group of
professional and creative recreation leaders who will plan and implement the hundreds of programs we
are offering this summer. Some of our June programs include: EXPLORE summer day camp, Women’s
Archery, Outdoor Adventure Club for 11-14 year olds, Youth Kayaking, Little Explorers Tours for 2-6 year
olds, Skyhawks Sports Camps, Adult Kickball, Bikes and Boulders, Soccer and many more! To date, we
have 1,385 people registered for our summer programs.
We have started to develop our fall, winter and spring program schedule, the 2013/2014 guide will be
distributed mid August. We will continue to grow our adult programs and are excited to launch
programs for seniors. Some examples will include: fitness classes, a curling league, and pickle ball.
