COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1919
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN.MONTANA. SO AS TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE A CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULAR-
LY DESCRIBED. WITH THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
I WHEREAS. there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of Bozeman a request petition-
ing the said City Commission to extend the boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as to include a certain
contiguous tract of land within the boundaries of the City of Bozeman. which tract is wholly surrounded
by the City of Bozeman. Montana; and .
WHEREAS. the proper legal description of said contiguous tract is as follows:
Description
of the
Legion Housing Annexation Tract
A 3.388 acre parcel located in the Southwest Quarter of Section One.
Township Two South. Range Five East. M.P.M.. in Gallatin County. Montana.
as shown on Certificate of Survey No. 398. and being more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at Corner No. 1. which is on the South line of the Southwest
Quarter. and from which the South Quarter corner of said section bears South
89003'17" East a distance of 370.54 feet. From Corner No. 1
a brass capped
iron witness post bears North 00005'10" East 30.00 Feet.
Thence from Corner No. 1. North 89003'17" West Long the south line of
the said Southwest Quarter a distance of 200.02 feet to Corner No. 2.
from
which a brass capped iron witness post bears North 00005'10" East. 30.00
feet;
Thence. from Corner No. 2. North 00005'10" East along a line parallel to
I and 570.50 feet distant from the East line of the West Half of said section
a distance of 737.85 feet to Corner No. 3. which is marked with a brass capped
iron monument;
Thence, from Corner No. 3, South 89003'17" East a distance
of 200.02 feet
to Corner No.4. which is marked with a brass capped iron monument; thence.
from Corner No.4. South 00005'10" West along a line parallel to and 370.50
feet distant from the East line of the West Half of said section a distance of
737.85 feet to Corner No. lo and,
WHEREAS. the City Commission of the said City of Bozeman has, by its Resolution No.
1906. regular-
ly passed and adopted on the 28th day of September, 1977.declared it to be for the best interests of
the said City of Bozeman and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tract
hereinbefore described that the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman be extended so as to include
said contiguous tract; and.
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City Commission has, pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-403, Re-
vised Codes of Montana. 1947, given the required public notice of such proposed extension of the bound-
aries of said City of Bozeman; and,
WHEREAS, 20 days have expired since the date of the first publication of said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1
That pursuant to the authority vested in the City Commission of the City of Bozeman by Section
11-403, Revised Codes of Montana, 1947, it is hereby declared that the boundaries of the said City of
Bozeman shall be extended so as to embrace and include within the boundaries and corporate limits of
I the said City of Bozeman the tracts contiguous thereto and hereinbefore described.
Section 2
That this resolution shall be. and the same is hereby declared to be effective immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular session held on the
26th day of October. 1977 .
