You are notified that your Bid opened on April 9, 201" for the above Contract has been considered. You are the
apparent Successful Bidder andhave been awarded a Contractforthe-2013 Water Renovations Project. The Contract
Price of your Contract is: Nine Hundred Ninety Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Six Dollars($995,236.001.
Five(5)copies of each of the proposed Contract Documents(except Drawings)accompany this Notice of Award. Three
(3)sets of the Drawings will be delivered separately or other-wise made available to you immediately.
You must comply with the following conditions precedent within fifteen(15)days of the date of this Notice of Award,
that is,by - 4- (3
I You must deliver to the OWNER Five (5) fully executed counterparts of the Agreement including all the
Contract Documents and Drawings.
2. You must deliver with the executed Agreement the Contract Security(Bonds)as specified in the Instruction to
Bidders(Article 20),and the General Conditions(paragraph 5.01).
3. List other conditions precedent:
You must deliver with the executed Agreement the Certificates of Insurance as specified in the General
Conditions(Article 5)and Supplementary Conditions(paragraphs SC 5.04 and SC-5.06),
Failure to comply with these conditions within the time specified will entitle OWNER to consider your Bid abandoned,to
annul this Notice of Award,and to declare your Bid Security forfeited.
Within ten(10)days after you comply with these conditions,OWNER will return to you two fully signed counterpart of
the Agreement with the Contract Documents zttached,

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to sign the Notice of Award to Omdahl
Excavating & Utilities, Inc. for the Base Bid in the amount of$995,236.00,
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy, of the Notice of Award for the above referenced project,
The project generally involves replacement of existing mains, valves, fittings and appurtenances
on Mendenhall Street from North 7tn Avenue to North Broadway Avenue. The contract is to be
completed within 90 days of the issuance of the notice to proceed, and special provisions have
been added to the contract to minimize the impact to area business and to ensure adequate traffic
flow is provided during special events.
Bids for the above-referenced project were opened on April 9, 2013 with 5 bids being submitted.
The low bid was submitted by Omdahl Excavating & Utilities, Inc in the amount of$995,236.00.
The Bid Tabulation for the project is attached. The project is currently funded in the water fund
in the current fiscal year at$1,205,720.00.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: Disapprove
FISCAL EFFECTS: The project is fully funded in the water fund for this fiscal year.
