RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to sign Release and Reconveyance of
Easement(s) documents for the Trout Meadows at Cattail Lake Phase 2 development to release and
reconvey portions of an existing public access easement and portions of an existing water/sewer/stormwater easement unto Trout Meadows, LLC.
BACKGROUND: A public access easement and a water/sewer/stormwater easement were platted upon Lot 12, Block 6, of Cattail Lake Subdivision Phases 1 & 2. Said lot is home to the Trout Meadows at
Cattail Lake Phase 2 development which is presently nearing completion of construction. The completed
project will have 5 residential apartment buildings and 2 parking structures. The constructed parking structures occupy small portions of the existing public access easement and existing
water/sewer/stormwater easements on the property as depicted upon the exhibits provided with the attached R&R documents. The owner of the development, Trout Meadows LLC, has requested that these easement encroachments be cleaned up to eliminate these conflicts. City engineering staff has reviewed
the documents and finds them acceptable for execution by the City Manager.
