Director’s Report
February 26, 2013
STREAMLINE: Number 606 is parked at our bus barn and is being used for parts. Bus 615 is back at Harlow’s in Whitehall for some warranty
electrical work but everything else is up and running. There are two Yellowstone buses parked in the bus barn for warm storage.
We have a new sign guy working on making sure all of
the stop signs are in the correct places and up to date.
The bus shelter at Oak and 15th is in the process of being repaired and should not cost us a dime to fix. We do have an extra
bench in storage so that will be donated to the cause, but insurance will take care of the rest.
GALAVAN: Galavan added 10 new customers in January and gave a total of 1,782 rides
in 21 days of service.
Our ride counts for Galavan are down and will need to go lower as we struggle with a budget that does not allow us to serve all of the customers who have requests
for rides. We are limited to four drivers each driving an eight hour day. We have been using some overtime hours to supplement our ride requests but that is not the answer to the bottom
line number in the budget. Our option is to cut back further in customers served. I am certainly open to suggestions as to how to better meet the ride requests without stressing the
budget.
Coleman Mack has been hired as a full time dispatcher for GALAVAN and will also be helping with answering calls for Streamline. He seems like a great fit and a welcome
addition to our group. Becky has returned to the streets as a full time driver.
