SUBJECT: Reappointment to the Zoning Commission
MEETING DATE: March 4, 2013 MEETING TYPE: Action
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to reappoint Erik Garberg to the Zoning
Commission. BACKGROUND: There are three ongoing vacancies on the Zoning Commission and
one member with a term that expired January 31, 2013. The Zoning Commission now lacks a
quorum.
The Zoning Commission was re-created under Ordinance No. 1500, to establish procedures for the administration of the municipal zoning ordinance within the City limits. Resolution No.
3312 then established the membership of the Zoning Commission.
According to Resolution No. 3312:
The Zoning Commission shall consist of five members appointed by the City Commission.
Members of the board shall serve two-year staggered terms. Persons of legal age may be
appointed to the board. All members must be residents of the City of Bozeman.
This Commission has three ongoing vacancies and one expired term with one re-applying member.

throughout Montana.
