Ethics Training Proposal Scope of Work
The MSU Local Government Center proposes the following scope of work to meet the 2013 ethics training requirements for the City of Bozeman

Track 1: Everyday Leadership – 1 hour session
Introductions, Ethics scenario, Foster discussions on ways to lead from any position within the
City, Highlight examples of everyday leadership
Track 2: Interacting with the Public – 1 hour session
Introductions, Ethics scenario, common issues in public interaction with
focus on treatment of the public from regulatory authority
Track 3: Supervisor’s Ethics – 1 hour session
Introductions, Ethics scenario, Cover confidentiality, privacy issues,
and retaliation
Design Fee for Tracks 1, 2, 3

Delivery Fee – 20 sessions at $125 per session

Board Training
Train-the-trainer session – 2 hours
Training
for Board of Ethics staff liaison and all staff board liaisons to prepare them to deliver board ethics training throughout the year

Moving away from an “ethics season,” the trainings will be scheduled throughout 2013. This proposal requires the
design and delivery of three training tracks for employees, and one design for boards plus a train-the-trainer session to prepare the staff board liaisons to present the material.
Not
included in this proposal are later scenarios that may be developed for the HPO group to utilize in their meetings and then take back to their departments for further discussion.
